Donations and Sponsorships

At Mainstreet, giving back is part of who we are. As a cooperative, we’re owned by our members, which means that our success is shared with the communities we serve. One of the ways we do this is by committing 5% of our annual profits to support local initiatives, organizations, and programs that make a difference. From sponsorships and donations to community partnerships and local events, this investment helps strengthen the places our members live, work, and play.

Our focus areas

Economic Growth

Supporting small businesses, agriculture, and programs that strengthen our local economy.

Education & Financial Literacy

Helping community members and students access learning opportunities and build confidence with money.

Gender Equality

Supporting initiatives that help women and girls access opportunities, build confidence, and step into leadership roles.

Climate Action

Backing projects that protect natural spaces, promote sustainablility, and help keep our communities healthy and resilient.

Community partners

YMCA of Southwestern Ontario

We’re proud to partner with the YMCA to help strengthen communities across our region. Through initiatives like Fill the Bus, we donate annually to support youth programs. In 2025, our contributions helped raise over $267,000, sending 1,335 kids to YMCA camp for a week of adventure, friendship, and personal growth. By working together, we’re helping ensure more children have access to programs that build confidence, connection, and a strong sense of community.

United Way

Through our partnership with United Way, we help fund programs that make a real difference in people’s lives across our communities. Our staff contribute through Dress Down Fridays, and we top up the donations to maximize support. In 2025, this program raised $20,000, helping provide essential services, build opportunities, and support families and individuals in need. Together, we’re proud to help create stronger, healthier communities.
